Application Support Engineer
(National Capital Reg - Makati City, Manila, Philippines)

  • To plan & manage the resources in software promotion schedule to fulfill the challenging business timeline.
  • To support software promotion activities for production and testing environments.
  • To further enhance or automate the current software promotion procedure via development of program or process enhancement.
  • Resolve production issues via adherence to the formal escalation process and procedures.
  • Liaise with business users and infrastructure support teams to ensure production issues are resolved on a timely basis and that correct actions are taken
  • Implement continual improvement to ensure application stability and performance to minimize support calls.
  • Take ownership of each issue and manage each request or incident from start to successful conclusion
  • Conduct testing, provide UAT support and handle production rollout
  • Be client focused and maintain good working relationship with clients.
  • Bugs ticketing management
  • Application health monitoring
  • Development, contribution and maintenance of application support knowledgebase


· At least 2 years of solid application support experience

· Diploma certification and above.

· Highly desirable skills include, JAVA, C/C++, MQ, ASP.NET, VB

· Database knowledge (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL

· Knowledge of design techniques, development processes and software configuration management.

· Well verse in English (Both verbal & written) and Mandarin or Hokkien

· Good communication skills

· Rotating shift work schedule

· Must be able to work on weekend or public holiday.

· Provide after-hours support

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
  2. Required skill(s): MQ, C++ Language, Java, Visual Basic, MS SQL Server, ASP.NET.
  3. At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  4. Applicants must be willing to work in Makati.
  5. Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in IT/Computer - Software or equivalent.

IT Security Analyst

  • Assist the Regional Information Security Manager in identifying security risks to the company and carry out actions to mitigate the risks.
  • Conduct information security compliance reviews as assigned by Regional IS manager. Report the findings to the Regional IS Security Manager and ensure rectification plan is in place.
  • Monitor the security controls (such as security logs ) and track any breaches or control violations, report to the Regional IS Manager, and ensure appropriate remedial actions are taken.
  • Coordinate with local IT on security activities such as security meetings, reporting and trainings.
  • Support and coordinate with business managers in the risk analysis process and keep track to ensure action items are done.
  • Prepare monthly reports on risk analysis reviews, security compliance reviews, vulnerability management statistics, and security incidents, etc.
  • Assist the Regional Information Security Manager in supporting (external and internal) audits activities and compliance reviews such as Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
  • Conduct other tasks as assigned relating to assurance of IT security.

  • University degree in Computer Science or related fields
  • A minimum of five years IT experience with three years hands on experience in IT security & control disciplines.
  • In depth understanding of technologies and issues on systems security & control on various platforms including internet, intranet, Windows, Unix and AS/400.
  • In depth knowledge of latest technology innovations and possibilities.
  • Understand the linkage between information technology and business value.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA preferrable
